Markets visit

  • The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 7.8, or 0.07%, to 11,124.92, while the S&P 500Nasdaq added 4.30, or 17%, to 2,504.61.
  • The Revenue for ABB fell 4% to $6.93 billion, against $7.2 billion, while orders fell 12% to $8.07 billion against $9.15 billion.
  • Swiss bank Credit Suisse /quotes/comstock/06p!csgn-otc (CH:CSGN 52.30, -2.05, -3.77%) /quotes/comstock/13*!cs/quotes/nls/cs (CS 50.73, -0.36, -0.70%) in its first-quarter net profit edged up 2% to 2.06 billion Swiss francs ($1.92 billion) from 2.01 billion francs, helped by lower costs and taxes, as well as a strong trading performance in the fixed-income side of its investment bank. As per group core net revenue fell 6% to 8.96 billion francs and net new assets were 26 billion francs in the quarter, compared to 8.8 billion francs a year earlier.
  • Remy Cointreau /quotes/comstock/11i!remyf (REMYF 53.70, +2.90, +5.71%) /quotes/comstock/24s!e:rco (FR:RCO 45.32, +2.07, +4.79%) , the Paris producer of champagne and spirits, reported that fourth-quarter revenue doubled to 219 million euros ($293 million) from 109.7 million in the year-earlier quarter. For the fiscal year ended March 31, turnover rose 13% to 807.8 million euros.
