Prudential ICICI Dynamic Plan was launchd in oct. 2002. This was one of the first dynamic plans launched in the country, where the scheme's portfolio is dynamic and its asset allocation not fixed. The fund manager has the liberty to shift its allocation between equity, debt and liquid as per the market conditions. The investment pattern of the scheme is that it would invest 0-100% in equity and equity related instruments and 0-100% in debt, money market and cash. But since its inception, the fund managers have been bullish on the equity side and kept a higher allocation towards equity.
Its average equity exposure since inception has been around 88.88% and the lowest it has gone is to 75%. The scheme is benchmarked against CNX S&P Nifty. The fund has always outperformed both its benchmark and peers during all the periods. The scheme offers both growth and dividend options. The minimum investment amount is Rs.5, 000. The fund charges an entry load of 2.25% for amount upto Rs. 5 crore and nil above Rs.5 crore.
